A few weeks ago I was invited to Dancing with Death, an intimate dinner at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. The dinner was hosted by Julie McLaren the curator of the current exhibition Romancing the Skull.

Geelong Cup 2017

Visit the Goldfields Girl blog for more photos of Geelong Cup Fashions on the Field

I was lucky enough to attend the Geelong Cup with my sister Finding Femme today. Like my previous racing events (read about it here and here) I was again in search of an outfit at the last minute. I know, what is it with me and racing events?

Roo Turns Two

For more birthday party style ideas visit Goldfields Girl blog

This week we celebrated Roo turning two. After Roos party last year I felt the pressure to meet the same party standard (see pics here and here). Finding the time to decorate for a party is much harder with two kids. I spent a large amount of time scrolling Pinterest for ideas and inspiration while feeding baby Marci and not a lot of time actually doing anything. In the end I settled on the theme of honey bee.

Ballarat Blossom Trees

Visit the Goldfields Girl blog for more fashion and lifestyle inspiration

I recently found these pictures taken last year in Ballarat. After seeing them I became obsessed with blossom trees and had it in my head that I ought try and get a family portrait now that we have our new baby but not with a single tree but LOTS of blossom trees.

Winter Garden

Winter coming into spring is the prettiest time in my garden. The garden is usually overgrown or looking forgotten (because I don’t garden) and then suddenly lots of random flowers start popping up out of nowhere. Daffodils, bluebells and many other flowers that I don’t know the names of, start shooting up amongst the violets that have taken over.

The Post Baby Update

So things have been a little crazy. Baby Marci arrived just over a month ago so we are still in the newborn bubble of eat-feed-sleep-repeat, so instead of organising all of my scheduled blog posts I have let things slide for the time being.
