I can’t believe it has been so long since I have been regularly publishing blog posts. With Christmas, holidays and then my return to work, time just seems to have disappeared. It wasn’t until recently that I considered my extended absence after a significant number of people asked me when I planned to do another post, especially as I have attended a number of events in the last couple of months and people commented that they were surprised that I had not posted about them.
In fact, I have had so many people ask me about when I would be publishing another blog post that I made the mistake of assuming some of them had been put up to the task of asking me at the request of my sister. Nope, as it turns out they were genuinely interested to know.
The last time I took a short absence from blogging was when I had a baby. After this most recent absence I return as pregnant once again.
A few weeks ago I attended the Rockabilly Festival in Ballarat at the last minute. I was able to attend late on Saturday afternoon, in time to catch the end of the pin up competition for which my sister Finding Femme was a judge.
My sister took some snaps of me in this dress that I wore last year also. In fact I wore this dress the first year when I was pregnant but tucked the straps in and made it strapless. I also wore it last year when I was breastfeeding and it didn’t quite fit – so I wore the back unzipped with a cardi over the top. It was a little snug this year since I’m pregnant again but I couldn’t find nor justify buying another outfit. I think it’s fair to say I have got my money’s worth out of this dress.
Admittedly I was a bit lazy and didn’t bother attempting any vintage hair styling or victory rolls but next year will be the year!! Let me know if you attended the festival and what you loved about the weekend!
